Our Mission

AM ABLE, Inc., an acronym for All Modifications for A Barrier-free Life and Environment, provides disability remodeling, general construction, and ADA consulting services to individuals, businesses, and the legal community who require accessible accommodations to their homes and buildings.


  A general contractor for over 30 years, the founder of AM ABLE, Inc., Robert D. (Bob) Novick decided to change the scope of his construction company.  "I recognized people had limited options in finding a building professional who was familiar with accessibility and cared for their needs on a fulltime basis. The formation of AM ABLE, Inc. is my attempt to fill this need."

ADA Is More Than a Law

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, a comprehensive anti-discrimination law for persons with disabilities, was modeled after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Each of us may have a particular interest on one certain ADA title, but it is important to be familiar with all five titles.
The ADA is about changing attitudes and is meant to enjoin Americans to work and live together with equal rights afforded to all. Although the act's guidelines seem complex, we feel it is just common sense. Couple it with common courtesy for each other and we have the premise for a new era.
